We’re seeking community feedback as we review our current policy on how AlburyCity manages requests to waive development and construction-related fees.

City Development often receives these requests, and the policy aims to provide a clear, consistent, and transparent framework for assessing them. It outlines which types of fees may be considered—such as those linked to Development Applications, Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, and plumbing approvals—and who is responsible for authorising the decisions.

Please note, certain fees like the Long Service Levy and Planning Reform Fund are legislated and cannot be waived by Council.

This review is an opportunity to ensure the policy continues to support fairness, clarity, and good decision-making.

We invite you to share your feedback on the revised policy before it is finalised.
