Project overview
We are excited to move to the next stage of consultation for the Black Range Park Pump Track. The team at Common Ground Trails have been busy taking all your ideas collected in July and developing three different pump designs.
From our consultation in July, our community told us:
- scooters and mountain bikes were most popular equipment that would be used at the pump track.
- the track should include both pump track and jumps features
- there should be separate areas for beginner and advanced users
- the park should include a BBQ, bins, seating, drinking water, outdoor gym equipment and a bike repair station.
You can read more about the community feedback in the Black Range Park Summary of Concepts attached in the document library.
Where to next?
The designers at Common Ground Trails have used your feedback to create three concept plans. Each pump track design has its own style with many of the common features retained across all of the design.
All you need to do now is choose your favourite style of park.
Concept 1: "Race Circuit" - features a traditional-style pump track designed for racing-style riding. The track features such as rollers and berms are shaped to allow for speed and technical riding.
Concept 2: "Jumps Loop" - is a single loop that has a triple width jumpline on one side and then a return line with typical pump track features.
Concept 3: "Jumps and Flow" - is a single loop that has jump line features, transfer options and typical pump track features such as rollers and berms. It aims to blend the riding experiences of concept 1 and 2.
The most preferred concept plan will be used by Common Ground Trails to develop the detailed design for construction.
Choose your preferred design from the concept plans below.
